Addressing inequalities Sample Clauses

Addressing inequalities. A quarter of children and young people in Bristol are from Black and minority ethnic groups and over 20% have special educational needs provision (due to impairment or social need). Therefore, all services need to demonstrate how they will benefit BME children and young people, disabled children and young people and boys and girls. 'Benefit' will include actions to ensure these children are not indirectly excluded and pro-active work to engage with young people from equalities communities. Some services will be designed to cater specifically for the needs of specific communities, equalities groups or our most ‘hard to reach’ groups of children and young people, and these projects will also need to show they are addressing race, disability and gender equality issues within their target group as well.
