Equalities. 1.1 Employees will be afforded equal opportunities in employment irrespective of disability, gender, race, religion, age, sexuality, marital status, parental status, caring responsibilities and hours of work
1.2 Local authorities will ensure that discriminatory practices are identified and removed and non-discriminatory practices introduced in all areas of employment including recruitment, training and promotion. Lawful positive action initiatives should be taken to achieve and maintain a representative workforce.
1.3 The National Council has agreed an Equal Opportunities Guide which is intended for use in all local authorities. The Guide is reproduced in Part 4.2 of this national agreement.
Equalities. It is important that all the advice on good practice set out in the Green Book on equalities and the Local Government Job Evaluation Scheme is followed for the computerised version.
Equalities. 24.1 The Supplier shall and shall ensure its Sub-Contractors and Staff at all times comply with the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 and all other related statutory and regulatory requirements and the Council’s policies and procedures copies of which are available on request relating to equal opportunities and shall not treat any person or group of people less favourably than another on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnerships..
24.2 The Supplier shall fully indemnify the Council against all actions, claims demands, proceedings, damages, costs, charges and expenses whatsoever in respect of any breach by the Supplier of this clause 24.
Equalities. 14.1 The BID Company shall perform its obligations under this Agreement (including those in relation to the Services) in accordance with:
(i) the Equality Xxx 0000 or other relevant legislation, or any statutory modification or re- enactment thereof (whether in relation to race, sex, gender reassignment, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief, pregnancy, maternity or otherwise);
(ii) the Council’s equality and diversity policy as provided to the BID Company from time to time; and
(iii) any other requirements and instructions which the Council reasonably imposes in connection with any equality obligations imposed on the Council at any time under applicable equality law.
Equalities. The Dundee Partnership has evidenced its commitment to equalities in relevant annual reports and external audits. This will remain a priority for continuous improvement over the next three years and beyond, as we continue to broaden and deepen the Dundee Partnership's agenda and representation to reflect all communities of interest and identity in the city. This will be driven through our Dundee Equality and Diversity Partnership which is currently considering the implications of the Guidance on Equalities to Community Planning Partnerships. An Equality Impact Screening of this SOA has been undertaken by representatives of the Equality and Diversity Partnership. Equality Impact Assessments will be built into SOA implementation to ensure that potential for impact (or opportunities offered) can be addressed.
Equalities. 32.1 The Provider hereby confirms that to the best of its knowledge and belief it has complied with the Equality Act 2010 (the “Act”) and hereby agrees to continue to comply with this Act in a manner which is proportionate and relevant to the nature of this IPT and any IPA hereunder.
32.2 The Provider agrees to provide the Service in a non discriminatory manner and shall promote equality and work towards the Service reflecting best practice as identified in Guidance including the relevant statutory Codes of Practice issued by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
32.3 The Provider may be subject to the requirements of the Public Sector Duty under the Equality Act (Specific Duties) (Scotland) Regulations 2012 in respect of the Service being provided by the Purchaser under this IPT and any IPA. Where the requirement to comply with this Public Sector Duty exists, compliance with the requirements of Clauses 32.1 to 32.4 and Clause 32.8 will be evidence to the Purchaser of the Provider meeting this requirement.
32.4 The Provider recognises that the Purchaser has a responsibility to monitor the extent to which the provision of the Service extends to socially excluded groups. In recognition of this, the Provider agrees, where appropriate and practicable, to provide monitoring information to the Purchaser in relation to employment and provision of the Service in respect of the protected characteristics as detailed in the Act, Part 2 chapter 1.
32.5 The Provider shall not discriminate, directly or indirectly or by way of victimisation or harassment against any person on grounds of gender reassignment, age, marriage, and civil partnership, sexual orientation, disability, religion or belief, sex, pregnancy or maternity and race contrary to the Act.
32.6 The Provider shall notify the Purchaser forthwith in writing as soon as it becomes aware of any investigation of, or proceedings brought against, the Provider and any decision or outcome being made from any proceedings under the Act in respect of an IPA made by the Purchaser; for the avoidance of doubt this is in addition to the reporting requirements under Clause 18.6 and 18.7 (Equalities) of the Framework Terms.
32.7 Where any investigation is undertaken by a person or body empowered to conduct such investigation, and/or proceedings are instituted in connection with any matter relating to the Provider’s performance of the Service being in contravention of the Act, the Provider shall free of charge:

Equalities. 20.1. The YMCA provides the Facilities and delivers services on an equal opportunities basis so that all members of the community are treated fairly and with dignity and respect. The Hirer is expected to uphold those principles in the course of any use of the Facilities.
Equalities. In order to embed compliance with the Race Relations Amendment Act 1976, equalities and diversity issues are considered as part of community cohesion headline challenge. Under development is a specific and agreed countywide outcome for all local authorities to reach equality standards 2 & 3 by an agreed timescale, with a dedicated resource to progress the initiative. More broadly, work is in progress to develop an approach to assist the migrant worker community in the county. The Lincolnshire Community Cohesion Partnership is the core body that will develop and ensure implementation of emerging proposals in this area. The Sustainable Community Strategy, which is delivered by the LAA, has been subjected to an Equalities Impact Assessment, which has been validated by an independent advisor.
