Taxes Due to the State A. Party understands and acknowledges responsibility, if applicable, for compliance with State tax laws, including income tax withholding for employees performing services within the State, payment of use tax on property used within the State, corporate and/or personal income tax on income earned within the State.
Requirements of the State of Kansas 1. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STATE 3.2.1 The State will identify a Project Manager for the Project. The Project Manager will be the sole point of contact between the Contractor and the State. The Project Manager will be the State’s representative authorized to communicate the State’s position and directions related to all contract work and to coordinate all change orders with the Commissioner of Buildings and General Services as deemed necessary.
CONTRACTOR’S RELATION TO THE STATE In the performance of this Agreement the Contractor is in all respects an independent contractor, and is neither an agent nor an employee of the State. Neither the Contractor nor any of its officers, employees, agents or members shall have authority to bind the State or receive any benefits, workers’ compensation or other emoluments provided by the State to its employees.
XX The Secretary of State may a) Waive all or part of the repayment due under sub-clause 5.DD(b) if the Academy Trust obtains his permission to invest the sale proceeds for its charitable purposes; or
Project Monitoring by the State The State may conduct on-site or off-site monitoring reviews of the Project during the term of this Grant Agreement and for up to ninety (90) days after it expires or is otherwise terminated. Debt to the State If the State Comptroller of Public Accounts is prohibited from issuing a warrant or initiating an electronic funds transfer to the Engineer because of a debt owed to the State, the State shall apply all payment due the Engineer to the debt or delinquent tax until the debt or delinquent tax is paid in full.
NOTICE TO EMPLOYEES REGARDING THE SAFELY SURRENDERED BABY LAW The Contractor shall notify and provide to its employees, and shall require each Subcontractor to notify and provide to its employees, a fact sheet regarding the Safely Surrendered Baby Law, its implementation in Los Angeles County, and where and how to safely surrender a baby. The fact sheet is set forth in Exhibit I of this Contract and is also available on the Internet at xxx.xxxxxxxxxx.xxx for printing purposes.
