Affirmative Action Plan. 1. Vendors found not in compliance with the District's equal employment opportunity standards are expected to develop and implement affirmative action programs if they expect to be eligible to successfully bid for District contracts. 2. While it is the vendor's responsibility to develop an affirmative action program which will result in equal employment opportunity for persons from all sectors of the community, the Officer in Charge of the Diversity Program may refer prospective bidders to resources which may be of assistance in developing affirmative action programs. 3. In the event that a vendor who has been awarded a District contract does not make satisfactory progress towards goals in the affirmative action program, the District will not negotiate a new contract until the vendor assures the Diversity Officer, that significant progress will make.
