Agricultural cooperation The aims of the cooperation on agriculture will be: (a) to promote sustainable rural development through the exchange of experience, generation of partnership and execution of projects in areas of mutual interest such as: agricultural innovation and technology transfer for the development of small farming, the conservation and management of the water resource for agricultural use, the application of good agricultural and agro industrial practices, including gender approach in development policies and strategies, among others; (b) to promote the exchange of relevant information for agricultural exports between the 2 markets; and (c) to develop a training program addressed to leader producers, technicians and professionals for the application of new technologies in order to increase and improve agriculture and animal husbandry productivity and competitiveness, in particular of value added products.
Agricultural Export Subsidies 1. The Parties share the objective of the multilateral elimination of export subsidies for agricultural goods and shall work together toward an agreement in the WTO to eliminate those subsidies and prevent their reintroduction in any form. 2. Neither Party shall introduce or maintain any export subsidy on any agricultural good destined for the territory of the other Party.
Health Promotion and Health Education Both parties to this Agreement recognize the value and importance of health promotion and health education programs. Such programs can assist employees and their dependents to maintain and enhance their health, and to make appropriate use of the health care system. To work toward these goals:
Agriculture Closed to Foreign Investors « For each individual crop cultivation in an area less than or equal to 25 hectares: - Main food crops are corn, soy, peanuts, green beans, rice, cassava, sweet potato; other food crops are wheat, oats, barley, rye, millet, taro, and other food crops not classified elsewhere (ISIC 0111, 0112). « For each individual crop cultivation in an area less than 25 hectares: - Estate crops as follows: > Sugar cane and other sweetening plant cultivation, tobacco plantation, rubber and other producing latex plantations, cotton plantation, textile raw material crop plantation, Medicinal/pharmaceutical crop plantation, essential oil crop plantation, and other crop plantation that is not classified in other location (ISIC 0111, 0112) > Coconut plantation, palm plantation, beverage material crop plantation (tea, coffee, and cocoa), cashew plantation, peppercorn plantation, clove plantation, and other spices crop plantation (ISIC 0113) - Breeding and propagation of the following: > Jatropha curcas plantation, sugar cane and other sweetening plants, tobacco plant, rubber and other latex producing plants, textile raw material plant, medical/pharmaceutical plant, cotton plant, essential oil plant, and other plants that are not classified in other location (ISIC 0111, 0112) > Coconut plant, palm plant, plants for beverage material (tea, coffee, and cocoa), cashew plant, peppercorn plant, clove plantation, and other spices plant (ISIC 0113) - Breeding and Propagation of Forest plants (ISIC 0111, 0200) « Pig breeding and farming in a quantity less than or equal to 125 heads, native chicken ("ayam xxxxx") and its cross- breeding and farming (ISIC 0122) « Plantation processing product business industry below certain capacity according to Regulation of Minister of Agriculture Number 26 of 2007: - Dry Clove Flower Industry (ISIC 0140) « Capturing and Propagating Wildlife from natural Habitat except reptiles (snake, lizard, turtle, soft shell turtle and crocodile) (ISIC 0150)
Cultural Resources If a cultural resource is discovered, the Purchaser shall immediately suspend all operations in the vicinity of the cultural resource and notify the Forest Officer. Operations may only resume if authorized by the Forest Officer. Cultural resources identified and protected elsewhere in this contract are exempted from this clause. Cultural resources, once discovered or identified, are not to be disturbed by the Purchaser, or his, her or its employees and/or sub- contractors.
Indigenous Peoples The Borrower shall, and shall cause MOT and ARS to, ensure that the Project does not cause any impact on indigenous people within the meaning of the SPS. In the event that the Project does have any such impact, the Borrower shall, and shall cause MOT and ARS to, take all steps required to ensure that the Project complies with the applicable laws and any other applicable regulations of the Borrower and the SPS.
CULTURAL DIVERSITY The Cultural Diversity Requirement generally does not add units to a student's program. Rather, it is intended to be fulfilled by choosing courses from the approved list that also satisfy requirements in other areas of the student’s program; the exception is that Cultural Diversity courses may not satisfy Culture and Language Requirements for B.S. students. For example, COMM 6 – Intercultural Communication, can fulfill (3) units of the Behavioral Science requirement and (3) units of the Cultural Diversity requirement. This double counting of a class may only be done with the Cultural Diversity requirement. Courses in Cultural Diversity may be taken at the lower- division or upper-division level.
Department Heads Department heads shall normally be tenured and hold the rank of Associate Professor or Professor in one of the departments to be served, unless mutually agreed to by the departmental faculty and administration. 3.1.2.1 When it becomes known that a department head position will become vacant, or if the department head position has already become vacant, or if a new department is created, the xxxx of the college shall meet with the department faculty within two (2) weeks to discuss qualifications and expectations for the position. Specific guidelines will be formulated which may include: a. Whether internal and/or external candidates shall be considered b. Desired qualifications, including rank c. Budgetary considerations d. The target number of recommended candidates that will be submitted to the xxxx for consideration 3.1.2.1.1 Following the discussion described in 3.1.2.1, the department faculty shall communicate their recommendations within two (2) weeks to the xxxx. The xxxx shall promptly confirm or modify the department faculty’s recommendations and communicate the guidelines and procedures in choosing the new department head. 3.1.2.2 The department faculty will formulate its recommendation(s) among all candidates and forward same to the xxxx, with supporting rationale. When the department faculty is able to find more than one (1) acceptable candidate, the department may rank order its list of acceptable candidates and give reasons for its ranking. If the department is able to find only one (1) acceptable candidate, it shall recommend that candidate. If the department faculty does not find an acceptable candidate, the search will be ended. The xxxx will review the departmental recommendation(s) with the PVPAA. If the department’s recommendation(s) is approved by the PVPAA, the PVPAA shall recommend the appointment of the candidate to the President of the University. If the University does not accept the recommended candidate(s), the University has the right to declare the search process has ended. 3.1.2.3 In the event a department head position is not filled in a timely fashion through the preceding procedures, the Board may appoint a department head for a period not to exceed one (1) year. During this year the procedures specified in sections 3.1.2.1 and 3.
Cooperation on forestry matters and environmental protection 1. The aims of cooperation on forestry matters and environmental protection will be, but not limited to, as follows: (a) establishing bilateral cooperation relations in the forestry sector; (b) developing a training program and studies for sustainable management of forests; (c) improving the rehabilitation and sustainable management of forest with the aim of increasing carbon sinks and reduce the impact of climate change in the Asia-Pacific region; (d) cooperating on the execution of national projects, aimed at: improving the management of forest plantations for its transformation for industrial purposes and environmental protection; (e) elaborating studies on sustainable use of timber; (f) developing new technologies for the transformation and processing of timber and non-timber species; and (g) improving cooperation in agro-forestry technologies. 2. To achieve the objectives of the Article 149 (Objectives), the Parties may focus, as a means of cooperation and negotiations on concluding a bilateral agreement on forestry cooperation between the two Parties. Such collaboration will be as follows: (a) exchanges on science and technology as well as policies and laws relating the sustainable use of forest resources; (b) cooperation in training programs, internships, exchange of experts and projects advisory; (c) advice and technical assistance to public institutions and organizations of the Parties on sustainable use of forest resources and environmental protection; (d) facilitating forest policy dialogue and technical cooperation under the Network of Sustainable Forest Management and Forest Rehabilitation in Asia- Pacific Region, initiated at the 15th Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Meeting; (e) encouraging joint studies, working visits, exchange of experiences, among others; and (f) others activities mutually agreed.
