Air Stripping. ‌ The Northwest Plume TCE-contaminated groundwater is pumped from an equalization (EQ) tank through sand filters for solids removal and then to the top of the air stripping unit. Air is drawn upward through the unit as the contaminated groundwater flows downward through the system. The countercurrent flow of air and water causes TCE to be stripped from the water and transferred to the air stream. The air stream is then passed through GAC to remove TCE before it is released into the atmosphere. The spent GAC is removed from the treatment system every six months and is sampled for characterization. Characterization parameters are selected based on the contract with the regeneration facility and the facility’s acceptance criteria requirements. After analytical results are received from the laboratory, they are compared to the acceptance criteria of the regeneration facility. If the acceptance criteria of the regeneration facility are met, then the spent GAC is sent to the regeneration facility where it is reactivated and returned to the NWPGS for reuse. If the acceptance criteria of the regeneration facility are not met, then the spent GAC is sent to a treatment, storage, or disposal (TSD) facility. Additional characterization of the waste may be required to meet the facility’s acceptance criteria.

The characterization data is then evaluated, and based on the evaluation, the spent GAC either is sent to a regeneration facility where it is reactivated and returned to the NWPGS for reuse or disposed of as waste.

Related to Air Stripping

  • TOOL STORAGE 1. A company shall provide on all construction jobs in towns and cities, and elsewhere where reasonably necessary and practicable (or if requested buy the employee), a suitable and secure waterproof lock-up solely for the purpose of storing employees’ tools, and on multi-storey and major projects the company shall provide, where possible, a suitable lock-up for employees’ tools within a reasonable distance of the work area of large groups of employees.

  • Fueling delivering or dispensing fuel, defueling and refueling, or any other transfer of fuel on Airport property.

  • Brakes Master cylinder, wheel cylinders, hydraulic lines and fittings, power booster and brake callipers. Excludes linings, pads, drums and discs.

  • Infrastructure Vulnerability Scanning Supplier will scan its internal environments (e.g., servers, network devices, etc.) related to Deliverables monthly and external environments related to Deliverables weekly. Supplier will have a defined process to address any findings but will ensure that any high-risk vulnerabilities are addressed within 30 days.

  • Drainage Systems (1) Clear culvert inlets, outlets, and sediment catching basins.

  • Loading RPMG shall schedule the loading and shipping of all outbound corn oil purchased hereunder, but all labor and equipment necessary to load trucks and rail cars and other associated costs shall be supplied and borne by Producer without charge to RPMG. Producer shall handle the corn oil in a good and workmanlike manner in accordance with RPMG’s written requirements and normal industry practice. Producer shall maintain the truck and rail loading facilities in safe operating condition in accordance with normal industry standards and shall visually inspect all trucks and rail cars to assure (i) cleanliness so as to avoid contamination, and (ii) that such trucks and railcars are in a condition suitable for transporting the corn oil. RPMG and RPMG’s agents shall have adequate access to the Ethanol Facility to load Producer’s corn oil on an industry standard basis that allows RPMG to economically market Producer’s corn oil. RPMG’s employees shall follow all reasonable safety rules and procedures promulgated by Producer and provided to RPMG reasonably in advance and in writing. Producer shall supply product description tags, certificates of analysis, bills of lading and/or material safety data sheets that are applicable to all shipments. In the event that Producer fails to provide the labor, equipment and facilities necessary to meet RPMG’s loading schedule, Producer shall be responsible for all costs and expenses, including without limitation actual demurrage and wait time, incurred by RPMG resulting from or arising in connection with Producer’s failure to do so.

  • Staging In addition to the staging categories listed in paragraph 1 of Annex 2-A, this Schedule contains staging categories 20-A, 20-B, PR-1 and PR-130:

  • Maintenance Plan Maintenance plan for the Project Facility for the next quarter and a report on maintenance carried out during the previous quarter (including any material deviation from expected maintenance activities as set out in the maintenance plan).

  • Infrastructure (a) The Borrower has and will maintain a sufficient infrastructure to conduct its business as presently conducted and as contemplated to be conducted following its execution of this Agreement.

  • Dewatering 4.7.1 Where a part of a site is affected by surface water following a period of rain, thus rendering some areas unsafe for productive work, consistent with the Employer’s obligations under the OH&S Act, all non- trades employees shall assist in ‘dewatering’ their own work site or area if it is so affected. Such work to be paid at single time rates. Productive work will continue in areas not so affected.
