Alcohol, Tobacco, Drugs, and Violations of Municipal, State, or Federal Codes. Players shall not use, possess, transfer or distribute any alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, or controlled substances without a valid prescription at any time or place. No player shall attend any RSAHA activity while under the influence of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, or controlled substances without a valid prescription at any time or place. A coach has the responsibility to remove a player from an activity if he or she believes that the player is under the influence of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, or controlled substances. If a player has 1 | P a g e RSAHA Player Code of Conduct been removed from an activity because he or she is believed to be under the influence of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, or controlled substances without a valid prescription, he or she is not to attempt to drive himself or herself home or the proper authorities may be notified. NOTE: Players are expected to avoid situations/gatherings where illegal substances (alcohol/drugs/tobacco) are available and/or being consumed by underage youth. Players need to take positive action to avoid situations where illegal substances are present. Failure to take appropriate steps to avoid these types of situations is considered a violation of this policy.
