All Transfers and Promotions. 17.7.1 When a unit member is selected for a position which is currently vacant, the unit member shall be released from his/her current position and assigned to the new position no later than the eleventh (11th) working day after acceptance of the offer by the candidate to Human Resources. When a unit member is selected for and accepts a position which is not currently vacant, the unit member shall be released from his/her current position and assigned to the new position no later than the eleventh (11th) working day after the position becomes vacant. 17.7.2 Any pay changes resulting from a promotion shall be effective on the eleventh (11th) working day after acceptance of the offer by the candidate to Human Resources, or the first day of assignment in the new position, whichever occurs first.
