Service Increments. (a) A service increment is a 3.5 percent increase in salary that is granted annually, upon approval of a department head, to each employee having merit status who assumes the duties and responsibilities of their position at an acceptable level of competence as determined by the department head and whose work generally meets expectations. A service increment can be granted only to the extent that an employee's salary does not exceed the salary shown on the maximum salary column of his/her assigned pay grade. Service increments are earned by performance of work at an acceptable level of competence. An employee cannot be awarded a service increment automatically or solely on the basis of length of service. (b) Each merit system employee is eligible to be considered each year for a service increment award to be effective on the assigned increment date.

Service Increments. For unit members hired from January 1 through June 30 on an 11 or 12 month contract their first step increment will be the following January 1. For unit members hired from January 1 through June 30 on a 10 month contract their first step increment will be the following February 1. For unit members hired from July 1 through December 31 on an 11 or 12 month contract their first step increment will be on January 1 after completing one (1) full year of service. For unit members hired from July 1 through December 31 on a 10 month contract their first step increment will be on February 1 after completing one (1) full year of service.
Service Increments. An Employee who has satisfactorily completed work as a contract Employee with Mount Royal University, counting from September 1, 1999, shall be moved on the hourly rate schedule as outlined below. The FY11, FY12, and FY13 service increments were not funded by the Xxxxxxxxxx County Council. For the term of this agreement the FY 12 and FY13 service increments shall continue to be deferred. 2
Service Increments. The salary schedule shall contain a longevity increment for bargaining unit members who are at the maximum of their pay grade and have completed 20 years of service (beginning of year 21) equal to a 3 percent increase to be paid the first full pay period following their 20- year service anniversary. (See Appendix VII). Effective July 1, 2017, the value of the longevity increment after 20 years of service for bargaining unit members on the Correctional Officers or Deputy Sheriff Uniform Salary Schedules shall increase from 3 to 3.5 percent. Effective July 1, 2018, the 20-year longevity increment for bargaining unit members in the OPT/SLT Salary Schedule only will be replaced with a longevity increment for bargaining unit members who are at the maximum of their pay grade and have completed 18 years of service (beginning year 19) equal to a 3 percent increase to be paid the first full pay period following their 18-year service anniversary. Effective July 1, 2018, the salary schedule for bargaining unit members in the OPT/SL T Salary Schedule only shall contain an additional longevity increment for bargaining unit members who are at the maximum of their pay grade, and have completed 24 years of service (beginning of year 25) equal to a 3 percent increase to be paid the first full pay period following their 24-year service anniversary (See Appendix VII). Bargaining unit members who are at the maximum of their pay grade and have already completed 18 years of service as of July 1, 2018, shall receive their 18-year longevity increment effective the first full pay period after July 1, 2018. Service Increments. (a) All Regular employees shall advance one step on the salary scale after completion of each year of service. (b) In the event that an employee is on leave without pay the increment will be delayed for the period of absence. Increments will not be delayed when the purpose of the leave is related to the employee's normal duties, responsibilities or professional development and shall be considered approved at the time the leave is granted. (c) In the case of absence due to illness, no change in increment date shall be made except when the absence is for more than one hundred and twenty (120) working days. (d) Leaves of absence with pay shall not result in a delay of annual increments.
