Common use of Alliance Leave Clause in Contracts

Alliance Leave. A fund of 200 hours per contract year may be used to pay Alliance members for grievance processing, attending meetings and other Alliance activities necessitating time away from work. Such activities other than grievance processing require one week prior notice to the staff member's supervisor. Alliance members must obtain proper authorization from their supervisor(s) before they absent themselves from their work area. Such authorization shall not be unreasonably delayed.
