Amount of Duties. No certified employee shall be assigned more than three extra-curricular duties per school year, including one school-wide fundraiser, and excluding bus duty and faculty meetings. In the event that any teacher or their designee cannot complete their three extra-curricular duties, it is the responsibility of the teacher or their designee to cover that duty. A list of duties can be defined as any event that causes teachers to go beyond a seven and half (7 1/2) hour school day or takes away from the normal school day including planning time. District Administrators will collaborate on specifically defined duties and will keep an account of each school’s duty assignments. Certified employees shall not be required to sponsor both a club and a class during the same school year. It is the principal’s responsibility to enforce that all teachers complete their three assigned duties. Only after each teacher has completed their three assigned duties will it be necessary for a teacher to possibly be assigned a fourth duty equally. See Appendix I for a list of extra –curricular duties (Reviewed annually).
