Faculty Meetings definition

Faculty Meetings. The principal shall specify a day for regular faculty meetings. Except in extenuating circumstances, the faculty meeting should be limited to the designated day. If a change is needed, teachers shall be given two (2) days’ notice except in cases of emergency. Such meetings shall have an agenda, and shall be as brief and well planned as practical. A copy of minutes shall be kept and maintained in a designated, accessible place. Faculty meetings shall be conducted during the teacher duty day except in extenuating circumstances. Sales representatives will not be allowed access to the faculty prior to or during the faculty meeting.
Faculty Meetings. Each principal or head teacher shall give forty-eight (48) hours notice for all faculty meetings, except in situations deemed to be of immediate concern by the principal. Such meetings shall be restricted to the items of concern. Agendas for each faculty meeting shall be made available to staff at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the meeting. Addenda may be added as necessary. Faculty meetings shall be limited to 60 minutes and are to begin approximately fifteen (15) minutes after final student dismissal. Every reasonable effort shall be made to limit meetings to no more than two per month that a teacher be expected to attend.
Faculty Meetings are defined as consisting of administrators and faculty; meet up to two (2) times per month to disseminate pertinent information and/or hold professional development with a maximum time limit of two and one-half (2.5) hours per month.

Faculty Meetings. Not more than ten (10) meetings will be held each school year outside of established school hours for the purpose of faculty meetings and professional committee work. Meetings in excess of two (2) meetings per month will be on a voluntary basis. Teachers and administrators at the various schools will determine the time most convenient for the personnel of their school to meet.
