Common use of Annual Leave Cash Out Clause in Contracts

Annual Leave Cash Out. ‌ Upon separation from State service, excluding termination for just cause, an employee will be compensated in a lump sum payment for any accrued but unused Annual Leave hours earned through the last day worked, provided the employee has (6) months of continuous full-time service. Upon the death of an employee in State service, the employee’s estate will be compensated in a lump sum payment for any accrued but unused Annual Leave hours in the employee’s Annual Leave bank.
