Appeal of Decision of Human Resources to the Board. For departments under the purview of the Board, in the case of an appeal from the proposed solution of the Human Resources representative, the employee must request a meeting with the Board to appeal the decision within fifteen (15) calendar days from the employee’s receipt of the Human Resources proposed solution. In the case where Human Resources has been bypassed, the employee must file a formal written complaint/grievance within fifteen (15) calendar days from receipt of the Department Director’s summary and proposed resolution. The Board shall consider the findings and/or further investigate the allegations if necessary. After considering all of the available information, the Board’s decision shall be in writing and delivered to the complaining employee and to the appropriate County officials. The decision by the Board shall be a final decision.
