Selection of Labor During the performance of this contract, the contractor shall not use convict labor for any purpose within the limits of a construction project on a Federal-aid highway unless it is labor performed by convicts who are on parole, supervised release, or probation. The term Federal-aid highway does not include roadways functionally classified as local roads or rural minor collectors.
Notification of Layoff A bargaining unit member to be laid off shall be notified, in writing, at least fifteen (15) work days prior to the effective date of layoff, except that when emergency funding situations exist, this notification period can be shortened. The notification shall include:
NOTICE OF LABOR DISPUTES (a) If the Contractor has knowledge that any actual or potential labor dispute is delaying or threatens to delay the timely performance of this Contract, the Contractor immediately shall give notice, including all relevant information, to the Authority.
Transfer of Labour If a halt to productive work occurs which is not the fault or the responsibility or the Company, the parties agree that employees can be relocated to other unaffected areas to continue productive work or to other sites if work is available. Provided that employees will continue to be paid in accordance with this Agreement during such a temporary transfer.
Application of Law The Lessee shall comply with all laws, ordinances, regulations, and other legal requirements affecting the Premises and the use thereof, and the Lessee shall indemnify, defend, and hold the Lessor harmless from expense or damage resulting from failure to do so.
Application of Laws 1. While entering, within, or leaving the territory of one Party, its laws and regulations relating to the operation and navigation of aircraft shall be complied with by the other Party’s airlines.
California Labor Code Requirements a. Consultant is aware of the requirements of California Labor Code Sections 1720 et seq. and 1770 et seq., which require the payment of prevailing wage rates and the performance of other requirements on certain “public works” and “maintenance” projects (“Prevailing Wage Laws”). If the services are being performed as part of an applicable “public works” or “maintenance” project, as defined by the Prevailing Wage Laws, and if the total compensation is One Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($1,000.00) or more, Consultant agrees to fully comply with such Prevailing Wage Laws. Consultant shall defend, indemnify and hold the City, its officials, officers, employees and agents free and harmless from any claims, liabilities, costs, penalties or interest arising out of any failure or alleged failure to comply with the Prevailing Wage Laws. It shall be mandatory upon the Consultant and all subconsultants to comply with all California Labor Code provisions, which include but are not limited to prevailing wages (Labor Code Sections 1771, 1774 and 1775), employment of apprentices (Labor Code Section 1777.5), certified payroll records (Labor Code Sections 1771.4 and 1776), hours of labor (Labor Code Sections 1813 and 1815) and debarment of contractors and subcontractors (Labor Code Section 1777.1). The requirement to submit certified payroll records directly to the Labor Commissioner under Labor Code section 1771.4 shall not apply to work performed on a public works project that is exempt pursuant to the small project exemption specified in Labor Code Section 1771.4.
California Labor Code Compliance a. Prevailing Wage laws apply, Subrecipient hereby agrees to pay, or cause its subcontractors to pay, Prevailing Wage rates at all times for all construction, improvements, or modifications to be completed for County under this Contract. Subrecipient herein agrees that Subrecipient shall post, or cause to be posted, a copy of the most current, applicable Prevailing Wage rates at the site where the construction, improvements, or modifications are performed.
Application of Laws and Regulations (1) The laws and regulations of one Contracting Party relating to the admission to, departure from or operation and navigation in its territory of aircraft engaged in the international operation shall be applicable to the aircraft of the designated airline of the other Contracting Party, while entering, departing from or operating and navigating in the territory of the first Contracting Party.
NOTICE TO BUYER OF LABOR DISPUTES Whenever Seller has knowledge that any actual or potential labor dispute is delaying or threatens to delay the timely performance of this Contract, Seller shall immediately give notice thereof, including all relevant information, to Buyer.
