Application of Wage Rates. Pay rates for other crafts in the area are irrelevant to this Agreement, with the exception of Refractory work. The applicable wage rate is the area, in which the job site is located. No lower wage rates may be used. Special rates apply when employees are asked by their employer to travel out of their Home area to work. See Article 22, Section 5 for these conditions for traveling contractors. All wages agreed to by employers after May 1, 2016 shall be paid to all employees retroactive to May 1, 2016.
