Approval of Investments. Before making any new invest-ment or reinvestment of any funds of this Trust, the Trustees shall submit to the Executive Committee of the Company, or its designated subcommittee, a list of such securities in which it proposes to invest such funds and the amount proposed to be invested in each security, and the Trustees shall proceed to purchase, or refrain from purchasing, such securities in accordance with the acceptance or rejection, in whole or in part, of such proposals by the Executive Committee of the Company, or its designated subcommittee. Acceptance or rejection of such proposals, or any of them by the said Committee, shall be signified in writing and delivered to the Trustees within thirty (30) days of the submission of such proposals by the Trustees, provided however, that if no written acceptance or rejection of such proposals, or any of them, shall be so delivered by the said Committee within the time herein limited therefor, the Trustees shall be warranted and protected in assuming that all of the proposed investments which have not been specifi-cally rejected as aforesaid, meet with the complete approval of said Executive Committee or its designated subcommittee.

Approval of Investments. 1. Each Contracting Party shall issue a permit for investing / certificate of registration for investment in their territory of investors of the other Contracting Party in accordance with its laws and regulations. 2. When a Contracting Party shall issue permits for investing / certificate of registration for investment in their territory, it shall provide all required permissions for the realization of such an investment.
Approval of Investments. This Agreement shall, to the extent that a written approval is required, only extend to investments, whether made before or after the coming into force of this Agreement, which are specifically approved in writing by the Contracting Party in whose territory the investments have been or will be made, An investment so approved shall be subject to the laws in force in the territory of the Contracting Party concerned and to the conditions, if any, upon which such approval shall have been granted.

Approval of Investments. 61. In addition to the legality requirement, certain investment treaties require that an investment must be approved in accordance with the laws and regulations of the host state. For example, the Protocol of the BIT between Iran and Italy provides with reference to Article 1 of the Agreement that: “In the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran[,] this Agreement shall apply to investments, reinvestments and any modification in the form of investments approved by the competent authority. …”91
Approval of Investments. Investments referred to in this Agreement shall be approved by the contracting States. It will be considered the State of which an investor is a national has given its approval when the Government of that State has notified the Government of the host State such approval. The Government of the host State has given its approval when it has granted the investor the commercial licence or other document required to start operations in that State. In the case of Honduras, document requirement shall be the certificate of investment in accordance with the "investment law" of that country.

  • Board Approval of Foreign Subcustodians Unless and except to the extent that the Board has delegated to the Custodian and the Custodian has accepted delegation of review of certain matters concerning the appointment of Subcustodians pursuant to Subsection 8.3, the Custodian shall, prior to the appointment of any Subcustodian for purposes of holding Investments of the Fund outside the United States, obtain written confirmation of the approval of the Board of Trustees or Directors of the Fund with respect to (a) the identity of a Subcustodian, and (b) the Subcustodian agreement which shall govern such appointment, such approval to be signed by an Authorized Person. An Instruction to open an account in a given country shall comprise authorization of the Custodian to hold assets in such country in accordance with the terms of this Agreement. The Custodian shall not be required to make independent inquiry as to the authorization of the Fund to invest in such country.

  • Approval of Holders Whenever the consent or approval of Holders of a specified percentage of Registrable Securities is required hereunder, Registrable Securities held by the Company or its affiliates (as such term is defined in Rule 405 under the Securities Act) (other than the Initial Purchasers or subsequent Holders of Registrable Securities if such subsequent Holders are deemed to be such affiliates solely by reason of their holdings of such Registrable Securities) shall not be counted in determining whether such consent or approval was given by the Holders of such required percentage.
