Areas Requiring Immediate Action Sample Clauses

Areas Requiring Immediate Action. A staff member with a physical or mental disability, which is detrimental to fulfilling the terms of the contract, may be required to go on sick leave. If the illness is professionally diagnosed to be a continuing disability, the contract need not be renewed. The diagnosis is to be made by a physician mutually agreed upon by the staff member and the Board. A staff member may also be dismissed for refusal to abide by the terms of the contract or for gross negligence. In such cases, an administrator will file a written report with the Board, and a duplicate will be given to the staff member involved. Board action will follow the procedure stated herein.
