Development of District Policy Manual. A cooperatively developed U.S.D. 450 District Policy Manual is fundamental to good board-staff relations. The legal responsibility for adoption of district policy rests exclusively with the Board. When considering district policy, the Board will make sure that the teachers’ organization has had the opportunity to participate cooperatively in the development of those policies. Written Policies shall be reviewed and, if necessary, revised yearly. The updated district policy manual will be distributed to building representatives who will make it available to staff upon request. It shall be the duty of the teachers to stay informed concerning the rules, policies and regulations found in the Board of Education District Policy Manual.
