ARTICLE RETIREMENT. An employee shall retire and cease employment on the first (1 day of the month following the month after which the employee attains the age of five (65) years.

ARTICLE RETIREMENT. All employees in the bargaining unit of the North Bay General Hospital shall be automatically retired on reaching sixty- five (65) years of age. Employees, who through age or physical disability, are, or become, no longer capable of performing all of the normal functions of their work may, at the discretion of the Employer, be retained in the employment of the Hospital provided suitable work available. In such cases the wage provisions of this Agreement may not apply for such employees, and the Employer shall have the right to establish what it considers an equitable rate of pay on agreement with the Union. When required by the Employer, the employees submit to a physical examination, stool examinations and/or culture, including laboratory tests, x-ray, inoculations and vaccinations; it being understood that examinations may be conducted by the employee's own personal physician, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the employees agree to submit t o any examination required from time to time by the Public Hospitals Act, chapter and amendments thereto and/or regulations thereto.
