Labour Management. There shall be a Labour-Management Committee comprised of two (2) representatives of the Union designated by the Union and two (2) representatives of the Clinic. The function of the Committee shall be to discuss matters of mutual concern to the Parties, but it is agreed and understood that the Committee shall not discuss grievances. The Committee shall meet on an informal basis every two (2) months or as otherwise agreed.
Labour Management. (a) No employee or group of employees will undertake to represent the Union at meetings with the University without the proper authorization of the Union. Neither will the University meet with any employee or group of employees undertaking to represent the Union without the authorization of the Union. In representing an employee or group of employees, an elected or appointed representative of the Union will speak for the Union.
(b) The Union and the University acknowledge the mutual benefits to be derived from joint consultation and approve the establishment of a Labour/Management Committee (LMC). The Committee will function in an advisory capacity only, making recommendations to the Union and/or the University with respect to its discussions and conclusions, and will not have the power to modify the terms of this Agreement. Such meetings will be held at a mutually agreeable time upon the request of either party.
(i) Meetings will normally be scheduled on a regular, monthly basis. The date, time and location of each meeting will be set at the end of the prior meeting.
(ii) Agenda items will be exchanged between the LMC Union Co-Chair and the Human Resources representative no later than the day before the meetings.
(iii) The LMC will normally consist of three or four and not more than six representatives from each party. Quorum for meetings is four participants, two from each side, unless the parties agree otherwise prior to the meeting.
(iv) All discussion will be without prejudice and precedent and there will be no limitation on agenda items.
(v) Should the parties agree in the meeting to a “with prejudice" statement or outcome, such agreements will only occur in accordance with the provisions of Article 20 of the collective agreement.
(c) The Union will have the right at any time to have the assistance of representatives of the Canadian Union of Public Employees or any other advisors to the Union when dealing or negotiating with the University.
(d) Representatives of the Union will have the right to attend meetings between the University and the Union held within working hours without loss of pay.
Labour Management. 15.01 The Management of the Company and the direction of the working force, including the right to plan, direct and control Company operations, to hire, transfer, or to relieve employees from duty because of lack of work or for other reasons, and the right to introduce new and improved production methods or facilities is vested exclusively in the Company subject to the seniority rules, grievance procedure and other provisions of this Agreement as herein set forth.
15.02 If changes in manufacturing or improved production methods are contemplated by the Company, the Union will be notified. The Union agrees not to hinder or prevent the Company from making or proceeding with such improved manufacturing or production methods, including but not limited to the installation of new machinery if necessary. The Union further agrees to operate the new machinery or equipment on both a trial or production basis.
15.03 Where any new classifications are created, such classifications shall be subject to commencement of negotiations between the Company and the Union within thirty (30) days following the initial production run for inventory. A supplementary agreement covering such new classifications shall be executed and shall be retroactive for the hours worked on the job to the date of the initial production run for inventory.
15.04 Should the parties fail to agree, such dispute shall be submitted to a representative of the National Union and the Plant Manager. Should both officials fail to reach an agreement, the matter may be submitted to arbitration in the usual manner.
Labour Management. Where there are matters of mutual interest that would be beneficial if discussed at a labour management committee meeting during the term of this Agreement, the following shall apply:
a. A maximum of three (3) representatives from each party shall meet at a time and place mutually satisfactory.
b. The committee shall meet quarterly unless otherwise agreed. The duties of chairperson and secretary shall alternate between the parties. Where possible, agenda items will be exchanged in writing five (5) calendar days prior to the meeting. A record shall be maintained of matters referred to the committee and the recommended disposition, if any, unless mutually agreed to the contrary. Copies of the record will be provided to the committee members. Employees who attend these meetings shall not suffer loss of regular pay to attend.
Labour Management. The parties agree to hold monthly Labour Management meetings when needed. The Union and the Employer will provide each other with agenda items they wish to discuss at least two (2) business days prior to the meeting. It is recognized either party may request additional meetings as required and the parties may agree to temporarily suspend the monthly schedule if there are no issues to discuss.
Labour Management. Employee policies including the hiring, employment, dismissal, wage system, remuneration, labour insurance, welfare and benefits, penalty and rewards etc. shall be formulated by the General Manager in accordance with the Labour Law of the People’s Republic of China and other applicable PRC Laws and submitted to the Board of Directors for approval and execution.
Labour Management. Meetings will be held every third (3rd) Wednesday of the stipulated months. Any cancellation of this date will be followed by an alternative date agreed upon by the City and Union.
Labour Management. The Library and the Union agree that a Labour-Management Committee be set up to seek solutions to mutual problems and to achieve mutual objectives.
Labour Management. (a) The Parties shall establish a Labour-Management Committee, composed of no more than two (2) representatives of the Union, and no more than three (3) representatives of the Employer.
(b) The Committee shall meet at the request of either party for the purpose of discussing issues relating to the workplace and/or the administration of the Collective Agreement. The time and place of meetings shall be at the convenience of both parties.
(c) The Union will have the right at any time to have the assistance of representatives of BCUWU or any other advisors to the Union when dealing or negotiating with the Employer.
(d) Employees representing the Union will have the right to attend meetings between the Employer and the Union held within working hours without loss of pay.
Labour Management. 28.1 A Labour Relations Committee shall be established consisting of a maximum of three (3) Union representatives providing no more than two (2) Union representatives are from one (1) department and an equal number of Corporation representatives with the responsibility of dealing with Labour Relations. Regular scheduled meetings of the Labour Relations Committee will be held monthly if required, at a time mutually agreeable to the Union and the Corporation representatives.
