Association Right to Speak at School Board and Other Meetings. A. The Board shall place for early consideration on the agenda of each regular Board meeting any matters brought to its attention by the Association as long as those matters are made known to the superintendent’s office one week prior to the regular meeting. In such cases, the Association may indicate the approximate amount of time needed to present such matters. The amount of time allotted will be at the discretion of the Board of Directors. Association officers also may present matters before the Board during the “Citizen Request” agenda item without prior notice but are subject to the time limit placed on all other individuals who represent groups. B. An Association representative may speak to unit members during any faculty or other professional meeting, including Convocation, at the request of representatives. The Association may be placed on the agenda of a meeting by giving advance notice to the person conducting the meeting. When possible, notification will be given one day prior to the meeting.
