SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES LEAVE. If an employee who has a unique “once in a lifetime” opportunity to participate in an activity that would cause the employee to be absent from work, the employee may apply for special circumstances leave to the superintendent. The application for leave must be submitted at least 10 working days prior to the date(s) of leave, include an explanation of the specific reason(s) for requesting the leave, and the duration of the leave. Approval of the request for leave shall be at the superintendent’s or his/her designee’s discretion. Upon being granted leave, the employee’s absence will be deducted from business/emergency leave days.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES LEAVE. 1. A teacher shall be granted four (4) days leave of absence with pay, per school year, for personal reasons, family illness or emergency situations. The teacher shall be billed 1/240 of annual salary, at Category 4, step 0, for each day of leave.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES LEAVE. The Superintendent shall grant an employee leave with pay up to a maximum of four (4) days per school year provided that a teacher teaching on call is available. The costs of a teacher teaching on call shall be covered by the employee.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES LEAVE. 6.20.1 In the case of a permanent employee with more than twelve (12) months continuous service, we may grant leave of absence without loss of pay for matters not covered by other paid leave provided for under this Agreement.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES LEAVE. The building principal may at his/her discretion grant short leaves of absence up to two (2) hour periods, for activities that cannot be accomplished after the school day. It would be the teacher's responsibility to arrange for proper coverage for the students in his/her absence. The teachers desiring to take such leave will be required to submit a written request to the principal which states the amount of leave desired, the beginning and ending time of such leave and the purpose for which the leave is to be used. Special allowances can be made to facilitate attending a medical appointment. The building administrator may grant leave for the medical appointment after student dismissal without a deduction of sick leave. In addition the time requested cannot be in conflict with 8.3 – additional activities.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES LEAVE. 57.1. Virgin Australia recognises that there will be times when a Pilot may experience exceptional life circumstances that are beyond their control.
57.2. Special Circumstances Leave may be made available for a Pilot to take time away from the workplace to assist in coping with an unexpected challenge which has occurred in their life.
57.3. In these circumstances, Special Circumstances Leave, which may be either paid or unpaid, may be granted at the discretion of the General Manager.
57.4. If you are approved for paid Special Circumstances Leave, this leave will be paid at the Pilot’s Annual Base Salary.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES LEAVE.
5.11.1 Staff may apply to the Principal for up to four days, non-cumulative paid Special Circumstances Leave each calendar year.
5.11.2 Circumstances that may warrant the use of Special Circumstances Leave include, but are not limited to:
(a) a significant medical condition within a Staff member’s family;
(b) severe disruption to a Staff member’s domestic arrangements; or
(c) where a Staff member has been impacted by floods, cyclonic disturbances, severe storms, xxxx fires or any other comparable natural disaster or emergency.
5.11.3 Special Circumstances Leave will be considered on a case-by-case basis and approval of the leave will be at the discretion of the Principal.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES LEAVE. Following a Qualifying Event as defined under paid Parental Leave, an eligible employee is entitled to claim up to two (2) weeks of Special Circumstances Leave for extenuating and unusual circumstances associated with their child. The M+R’s decision is not subject to the grievance and arbitration procedure.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES LEAVE. Where special circumstances arise ENERGEX may grant to an employee additional leave with pay under such conditions or limitations as ENERGEX will determine. Such leave will only be provided where an employee has exhausted all accrued leave entitlements and appropriate evidence to the satisfaction of ENERGEX is provided to support the requirement for additional leave. For example, where an employee or immediate member of the employee’s family requires ongoing medical care for a life threatening injury or illness.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES LEAVE. In the case of a permanent employee with more than twelve (12) months continuous service, Airservices may grant leave of absence without loss of pay for matters not covered by other paid leave provided for under this Agreement.
