Authority of Xxxxxxx. The authority of the Xxxxxxx designated by the Union shall be limited to and shall not exceed the following duties and activities: (1) Investigation and presentation of grievances in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement during his working hours, upon appointment with his supervisor or the Company's representative. (2) The transmission of such messages and information which shall originate with and are authorized by the Business Agent, provided such messages and information have been put in writing or, if not in writing, are of a routine nature and do not involve work stoppage, slow-downs, or any other interference with the Company's business.
