Common use of Award Maintenance Clause in Contracts

Award Maintenance. The Queensland Industrial Relations Commission State Wage increases awarded during 2014 and the period up to, and including, the nominal expiry date of this agreement shall be absorbed into the wage increases provided by Clause 2.1 of this agreement. It is a term of this agreement that no person covered by this agreement will receive a rate of pay, which is less than the corresponding rate of pay in the relevant parent award.‌ The employer will support union applications to amend any of the parent awards to this agreement to incorporate wage adjustments based upon the MOCA3 during the life of this agreement.
