Common use of Award Maintenance Clause in Contracts

Award Maintenance. The Queensland Industrial Relations Commission State Wage increases awarded during 2008 and the period up to, and including, the nominal expiry date of this agreement will be absorbed into the wage increases provided by clause 2.1 of this agreement subject to clause 2.2. It is a term of this agreement that no person covered by this agreement will receive a rate of pay which is less than the corresponding rate of pay in the relevant parent award.
