Backup Supervisor. When a Workforce employee is assigned by the District to perform backup supervisory duties for an absent supervisor, the employee shall receive his/her regular hourly rate of pay for such assignment. In the event such assignment lasts longer than four (4) hours on any workday, the employee will receive an additional hour and one half of pay for the workday, at the employee’s regular rate of pay which shall not count as hours worked for the purpose of calculating overtime pursuant to the Fair Labor Standards Act.
