BARGAINING UNIT ACTIVITY Sample Clauses

The "Bargaining Unit Activity" clause defines the rights and procedures related to activities conducted by members of a recognized bargaining unit, such as a labor union, within the workplace. Typically, this clause outlines what types of union-related activities are permitted during work hours, where such activities can take place, and any limitations or notification requirements that apply. For example, it may specify that union representatives can meet with employees in designated areas or distribute materials at certain times. The core function of this clause is to balance the union's ability to represent its members with the employer's need to maintain workplace order and productivity, thereby preventing disputes over when and how union activities may occur.
