Beginning Date of Layoff. Any layoff of an employee (whether long-term or short-term) shall be considered to begin on the calendar day after the calendar day of the beginning of the last shift for which the City determines work was available for that employee.

  • Beginning Date Both parties agree that negotiations for a new contract shall commence no later than 30 days after ratification of the current collective bargaining agreement in a good faith effort to reach a contract. The Association agrees to give the Board notice of intent to negotiate a contract a minimum of sixty (60) days prior to the expiration of the contract in force at the time and also notify Public Employees Relations Commission in writing of this intent.

  • Effective December 17, 2020, all provisions of this collective agreement shall be read to be gender neutral.

  • Required Beginning Date The Participant’s entire interest will be distributed, or begin to be distributed, to the Participant no later than the Participant’s required beginning date.

  • Leave Year The leave year begins with the first full payroll period of a calendar year and ends with the payroll period in which December 31st falls.

  • Vacation Year The vacation year shall be April 1 to March 31, inclusive.

  • Effective Date of Coverage An eligible employee is entitled to benefits provided he is actively at work on the first day the Long Term Disability Benefit Plan becomes effective. An eligible employee absent from work due to sickness or accident at the effective date of the Plan, shall only be eligible for Long Term Disability Plan benefits upon the return to continuous active full-time employment for a period of more than four consecutive weeks. The Company shall have the right to give medical examinations to employees returning from such lay-off to determine their eligibility under the Plan.

  • Date of Commencement This Agreement has commenced and shall be deemed to have commenced on and with effect from the date mentioned at the beginning of this Agreement.
