Common use of Benefits/WSIB, Paid Leave Clause in Contracts

Benefits/WSIB, Paid Leave. The Employer shall continue to pay its share of premiums for benefit plans for employees who are on paid leave of absence or WSIB if the employee continues her contribution towards said benefits. It is understood that the obligation of the Employer to pay the aforesaid benefits while on WSIB shall continue for up to eighteen (18) months following the date of the injury. It is further understood that in the case of sick leave, the Employer will continue to pay its share of premiums for the month in which the leave commences and the following month.
