Block of Days. Subject to 23.01(e), the twenty-four (24) guaranteed days off may be taken in blocks of any number of days (1 - 24).

Number of Days In computing the number of days for purposes of this Agreement, all days shall be counted, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays; provided, however, that if the final day of any time period falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday on which federal banks are or may elect to be closed, then the final day shall be deemed to be the next day which is not a Saturday, Sunday or such holiday.
Definition of Days A day shall mean calendar days, however, where a deadline occurs on a Saturday, Sunday or Holiday (as identified in Article 25), the deadline shall be extended to the next normal business day.
Snow Days If an employee, after good faith efforts, is unable to report to work for their scheduled duty period because of weather conditions, and if a disaster due to weather is declared by the Governor or the Grand Traverse County Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, the employee at the employee's option may take a days leave without pay or work on a pass day to make up the lost day, or may utilize an accumulated sick leave day or vacation day. CALAMITY DAYS 1. All employees shall be paid their appropriate rate of pay for all days or part of a day when the school system is closed owing to an epidemic or other public calamity as declared by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
Length of Day The total workday shall consist of not more than 7 hours and 45 minutes and shall include a scheduled duty-free lunch period as provided to employees or SUCCESS employees under Subsection 3 of this Article.
Non-Business Days If an Interest Period would otherwise end on a day which is not a Business Day, that Interest Period will instead end on the next Business Day in that calendar month (if there is one) or the preceding Business Day (if there is not).
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY DAYS 25.01 The Employer shall provide information to the Union about the professional development activities provided by the Board.
