Snow Days. If an employee, after good faith efforts, is unable to report to work for their scheduled duty period because of weather conditions, and if a disaster due to weather is declared by the Governor or the Grand Traverse County Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, the employee at the employee's option may take a days leave without pay or work on a pass day to make up the lost day, or may utilize an accumulated sick leave day or vacation day. When notification has been made by public media or supervisory personnel that school and/or administration offices are closed and that the employee need not report to work, as many as two days each year shall be available as a district-designated holiday. Snow Days. If the Adventure Club site remains open on a day when the District declares a snow day and classes in the District are canceled, Adventure Club Education Assistants who work at that site will report to work as soon as conditions for travel are safe unless told by a supervisor not to report. Those Education Assistants who are scheduled and do report to work shall receive one and one-half times the regular rate of pay for the hours worked that day. Those who are not needed to report to work will be paid for their regular number of hours, if they were normally scheduled to work.
Snow Days. A. Both parties recognize that if the New Xxxxxxx Area Public Schools cannot meet the required minimum number of days of student instruction for purposes of complying with state law, so as to qualify the School District for full state aid, then the Board will add additional days necessary to meet the annual instructional minimum required by law. To assist in the compliance of this, it is agreed that:
1. Employees shall be paid for actual student attendance days worked.
2. Employees shall receive regular pay for rescheduled days.
3. Qualified employees shall be paid regular wages for such days not required to be rescheduled for this purpose, as part of the second pay in June following the close of the school year.
a. When school is not in session due to "Act of God" days, employees shall be paid for their regular runs including shuttle runs.
B. If, at any time during the life of this Agreement, it becomes lawful to count as days of pupil instruction, days when pupil instruction is not provided due to conditions not within the control of school authorities, such as due to severe storms, fires, epidemics, or health conditions, it is agreed that the following school closing provision shall become immediately effective:
1. When conditions not within the control of school authorities such as severe storms, fires, epidemics, or health conditions, or a Board directive results in the closing of a school or other facility of the Employer, bargaining unit members shall be excused from reporting to duty without loss of pay days lost due to school closing under the foregoing circumstances and shall not be rescheduled.
C. Snow Days. The Company will make an assessment of the driving conditions on any given scheduled working day, and if the Company decides to cancel road tests, employees will not be sent home until at least 4 hours after the start of their shift as per the reporting pay provision of the Collective Agreement.
Snow Days. Section 1. Ten-month employees are not required to report for work when school is closed because of snow. Personnel who were scheduled to work on those days will have no loss in pay, no matter how many hours a week they work.
Section 2. When school opening is delayed, those who report to work the same time as the student starting time will be allowed to report for work at the delayed starting time.
Snow Days. With the exception of any Public Works employee, an employee who is unable to attend work due to inclement weather shall be permitted two (2) days off per annum without loss of pay. Instead of days off due to inclement weather, full-time Public Works employees shall receive one (1) lieu day off with pay to be scheduled at a mutually convenient time between May 1st and September 30th.
Snow Days. Employees of the unit are not required to report to work if district schools are closed due to inclement weather.
Snow Days. If school is closed due to inclement weather or other conditions on an employee’s sick leave or personal day and the employee is eligible for a snow day under article XVII-D, the day shall not be deducted from the employee’s accumulated sick leave or personal days.
Snow Days. Employee will report to work on days classified as snow days or other non-scheduled school closing days as soon as weather and road conditions allow for safe travel. Employees may request payment for hours missed to be charged to compensatory time or sick leave which has been accrued according to the terms of this agreement.
