Common use of BREAKS DURING OVERTIME Clause in Contracts

BREAKS DURING OVERTIME. When an employee works in excess of four (4) hours overtime contiguous to the regular shift or when an employee has been called out for emergency overtime which exceeds four (4) hours the Employer shall grant a one-half (1/2) hour paid lunch break. An additional one-half (1/2) hour paid break shall be granted for each additional four (4) hour period the employee works overtime.
