Common use of Bridging of Service (Care and Nurturing Leave) Clause in Contracts

Bridging of Service (Care and Nurturing Leave). If a regular employee terminates as a result of a decision to care for a dependent parent, spouse or child, and where the Employer agrees to rehire the employee in either a regular full-time or regular part-time position, effective the date of re-employment the employee shall be credited with length of service accumulated at time of termination for the purposes of benefits based on service seniority. The following conditions shall apply:
