BSS Level. 8 Employees at this level will typically have worked and studied in a relevant field and will have achieved a standard of specialist knowledge and experience sufficient to enable them to independently advise on a range of activities related to the specialised field and contribute to the determination of objectives within the relevant field of their expertise. Employees at this level have a high degree of accountability for their own work and may have delegated responsibility for the work under their control. Work at this level requires the application of knowledge, usually gained through previous experience in the discipline or from post-secondary or tertiary study. Indicative duties and skills at this level may include: - apply detailed knowledge of the Company’s objectives, performance, projected areas of growth and general industry conditions for the purposes of assisting in the development of new policy and services to meet changing market needs or other circumstances; - prepare internal reports for management in any or all of the following areas: o accounting/financial; o staffing; o legislative requirement; and

  • Staffing Levels To the extent legislative appropriations and PIN authorizations allow, safe staffing levels will be maintained in all institutions where employees have patient, client, inmate or student care responsibilities. In July of each year, the Secretary or Deputy Secretary of each agency will, upon request, meet with the Union, to hear the employees’ views regarding staffing levels. In August of each year, the Secretary or Deputy Secretary of Budget and Management will, upon request, meet with the Union to hear the employees’ views regarding the Governor’s budget request.

  • Lower Salary Level An employee who accepts another position with a lower salary range will be paid an amount equal to their current salary, provided it is within the salary range of the new position. In those cases where the employee’s current salary exceeds the maximum amount of the salary range for the new position, the employee will be compensated at the maximum salary of the new salary range.
