Formal Levels. Level 1: If the grievant is not satisfied with the written answer provided at Informal Resolution Level, the grievant may, within seven (7) days from the receipt of such answer, file a written grievance with the Undersheriff. The grievant must provide a copy of his or her written grievance to the County’s Personnel Officer. The written grievance must be duly signed and dated and contain the following information:
a. A detailed statement of the grievance; including the section of this Agreement which has allegedly been violated, factual information detailing that the issue being grieved is not in regards to a topic which is the exclusive right of management, and the remedy requested;
b. The date the facts constituting a grievance were discovered, and the date of the incident giving rise to the grievance;
c. The date of submission of the grievance orally to the grievant’s supervisor, or a statement that the grievance was not orally submitted to the grievant’s supervisor;
d. The following statement: “Failure to respond within fourteen (14) days of the submission of this written grievance will allow the employee to move the grievance to the next step of the grievance process as if the grievance had been denied.”
e. The grievant will be responsible for moving the grievance to the next step in the grievance process. Within fourteen (14) days of receipt of the written grievance, the Undersheriff, or his/her designee, shall investigate the grievance which may include a meeting with the grievant and any concerned parties and, thereafter, the Undersheriff, or his/her designee, shall issue a give written answer to the grievance to the grievant within fourteen (14) days of the Undersheriff’s receipt of the written grievance.

Level 1: If a grievant is not satisfied with the resolution proposed at the informal level, the grievant may, within ten (10) working days of such receipt of such answer, file a formal written grievance with his/her supervisor containing a statement describing the grievance, the section of this Agreement allegedly violated, and remedy requested. The supervisor shall, within ten (10) working days, have a meeting with the grievant regarding the information provided.
Level 2: If the grievant is not satisfied with the written answer at Xxxxx 0, the grievant may, within five
Formal Levels. 8.5.1 Level 1. If a grievant is not satisfied with the resolution proposed at the informal level, he/she may within ten (10) days of receipt of such answer file a formal written grievance on a completed Yolo County Grievance Form with his/her manager. Within ten (10) days the manager or designee shall have a meeting with the grievant and within ten (10) days thereafter give a written answer to the grievant.

Level 1: If a grievant is not satisfied with the resolution proposed at the informal level, the grievant may, within seven (7) days of receipt of such answer, file a formal, written grievance with the grievant’s appropriate next level supervisor that contains a statement describing the grievance, the section of this Agreement allegedly violated and remedy requested. The appropriate next level supervisor shall, within seven (7) days, have a meeting with the grievant. If the appropriate next level supervisor is the department head, Level 1 and Level 2 of this Article will be combined into one step.
Formal Levels. 7.4.1 Level I: Immediate Supervisor Within ten (10) days of receipt of the informal written response the grievant must present the grievance in writing to the immediate supervisor as designated by the District. This statement shall be a clear, concise statement of the grievance, including:
1) The intent to grieve.
2) The date of the act or omission giving rise to the grievance.
3) The contract section allegedly violated.
4) The circumstances involved.
5) The decision rendered at the informal conference.
6) The specific remedy sought. The supervisor shall communicate his/her decision in writing to the employee within ten
Formal Levels. 12.3.1 Level 1 Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources/Designee The grievant may present such grievance in writing on the grievant form to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources/Designee. The grievance statement shall include a clear, concise description of the alleged violation, the specific article(s) and section(s) allegedly violated, the circumstances involved, and the specific remedy sought. The Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources/Designee shall communicate a decision to the grievant in writing within ten (10) days after receiving the formal, written grievance. If the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources/Designee does not respond within the ten (10) day time limit, the grievant may appeal to the next level. Within the ten (10) day time limit, either party may request and be granted a personal conference with the other party.
Formal Levels. At all formal levels, the grievant shall be entitled to Association representation.
Formal Levels. CSEA Chapter 420 representation is required in order to proceed beyond the informal level.
Formal Levels. Step 1: Within five (5) working days after the conclusion of the informal level, the grievant must present the grievance in writing to the immediate administrator.

Within thirty (30) days after the occurrence of the act or omission, or within thirty (30) days after the grievant knew or reasonably should have known of the act or omission giving rise to the grievance, the grievant must present such grievance in writing to the Xxxx or lowest-level educational administrator to whom the grievant reports. The term “days”, at this Step 1 only, does not include days during any intersession or summer session during which the grievant is not scheduled to work.
