Call Back Allowance. 7.2.1 An employee shall be paid for a minimum of two hours, or for actual working and travelling time, whichever is the greater – at the twice the hourly rate (T2), when the employee: (a) Is called back to work after completing the day's work or shift, and having left the place of employment; or (b) Is called back before the normal time of starting work, and does not continue working until such normal starting time, except that: (i) Call backs commencing and finishing within the minimum period covered by an earlier call back shall not be paid for; (ii) Where a call back commences before and continues beyond the end of a minimum period for a previous call back, payment shall be made as if the employee had worked continuously from the beginning of the previous call back to the end of the later call back. 7.2.2 Where part-time employees are part of an official on call roster and are called out from their place of residence in emergency circumstances, they shall be paid on the basis of a minimum of three hours at appropriate rates. The length of the call would be measured in respect of actual time worked only, except that outside of the normal hours of duty (i.e. 0800 hours to 1700 hours Monday to Friday) the length of the call would be measured in respect of actual time worked and reasonable travelling time from the place of call to the place of duty and return to the place of call or residence. The minimum payment prescribed shall apply to each recall, except that: (a) Call-outs commencing and finishing within the minimum period covered by an earlier call-out shall not attract any additional payment. (b) Where a call-out commences before and continues beyond the end of a minimum period for a previous call-out payment shall be made as if the employee had worked continuously from the beginning of the previous call-out to the end of the latter call-out.
