Call Off/Flexed Employee Off the Schedule. Once called-off, an employee is considered off the schedule and shall not be required to maintain contact or be available to work, unless the Employee has agreed to accept Standby status and is compensated accordingly, for the shift or portion thereof. If an employee is flexed at the beginning of his/her shift to a new start time, he/she shall be considered off the schedule until the later start time; such flexing shall be voluntary.

The trustees shall determine the contributions required for such benefits.

  • Sick Leave Separation Cash Out ‌ At the time of retirement from state service or at death, an eligible employee or the employee’s estate will receive cash for their compensable sick leave balance on a one (1) hour for four (4) hours basis. For the purposes of this Section, retirement will not include “vested out of service” employees who leave funds on deposit with the retirement system.
