Care and Preservation. The College will give loaned property left in its custody the same care provided to similar property of its own. It is understood that all property is subject to inherent deterioration for which neither party is responsible.

Care and Preservation. The Museum will give objects left in its custody the same care provided to similar property of its own. Evidence of damage to objects at the time of receipt or while in the Museum’s custody will be reported immediately to the Lender. No alteration, restoration, or repair to objects will be undertaken without the written authorization of the Lender. The Lender certifies that the objects to be loaned are in good condition and will withstand ordinary strains of installation, packing, and transportation.
Care and Preservation. The County will exercise the same standard of care in the preservation and safekeeping of the Loan as it has adopted or may hereafter adopt for the preservation and safekeeping of comparable property of its own. Any special handling required shall be outlined in Exhibit B. The County will not intentionally destroy, damage, alter, modify or change the Loan in any way whatsoever (including, without limitation, removing frames, mats, glass or Plexiglas coverings, or mounts) without explicit, prior authorization by the Museum. In the event of any damage or material deterioration to any object in the Loan while in the County's possession, the County will consult with the Museum prior to the commencement of any repair or restoration. The County is not obligated to undertake any repair or restoration. The Museum will have the right to suggest the artists(s) or other person(s) who will make the repairs or restoration. If any work is withdrawn by the County because it is discovered to be unstable or otherwise in vulnerable physical condition, the County agrees to notify the Museum of the condition in writing and in a timely fashion.
Care and Preservation. The Lender (RIM) will: Complete condition reports for each artifact mentioned in the Loan prior to packing, by a suitably qualified professional. Provide recommendations/instructions for the suitable display and handling conditions and environment where appropriate. Apply for and submit the necessary SAHRA permit approvals and export documentation Provide the Borrower (CMHR) with an electronic copy of Loan Agreement, export permit and condition reports prior to shipment/transportation. Provide the shipment agent/transportation agent with a copy of Loan Agreement, export permit and condition reports. Oversee that the artefacts are packed to museum standard. Be satisfied that the storage, preparation and exhibition areas are secure and fire precautions are in place by means of a detailed Facility Report submitted by the Borrower (CMHR) prior to signing the Loan Agreement. The Borrower (CMHR) will: Not alter, clean, restore, re-frame or modify the artefacts in any way without prior written authorization by the Lender (RIM). Return the artefacts in the same condition as when leaving the Lender’s (RIM) custody and care. The Borrower conservator/technician will submit a condition report by end of Exhibition and before repacking takes place. Exercise the same professional care and handling with respect to the artefacts as it does with artefacts in its own collection. Notify the Lender (RIM) immediately of loss, theft or damage while in its the care and custody. Only allow qualified conservator/conservator and exhibition technicians to handle the artefacts. Submit a detailed Facility Report to the Lender (RIM) outlining the security and environmental conditions in the exhibitions and storage areas. Prepare and facilitate the safe return of the loan in relation to their appointed agents and customs and export documentation.

Care and Preservation. The borrower shall give objects lent from the collection of the Kentucky Derby Museum (hereafter, KDM) the same care, according to prevailing professional museum standards, as it does to its own property.
Care and Preservation. The Xxxxxxx X. Xxxxxxx Library for Political Research and Studies (hereafter referred to as RBRL) will exercise the same care with respect to handling and exhibiting materials on loan as it does in the safekeeping of comparable property of its own. Objects will be protected at all times from excessive light, unfiltered artificial or natural lights, and excessive heat, humidity, or dry conditions. Objects on loan will not be altered in any way except with the express written permission of the Lender.
Care and Preservation. The Borrower will exercise the same care with respect to the loaned work as it does in the safekeeping of comparable property of its own. All works will be handled only by experienced personnel and will be protected against loss, damage, deterioration, and theft. No work (including all parts, frames, bases, etc.) may be cleaned, restored, or otherwise altered without the prior written consent of SAQA. Borrower is expected to carefully inspect and complete a condition report for each artwork (if applicable) and provide SAQA with a copy of the reports. This must be done upon unpacking the exhibition and again when repacking it. In the event the condition of any artwork(s) is changed in any way from the condition of such artwork(s) as received by the Borrower, the Borrower will notify SAQA immediately by email to the contact on page 1, and follow with written report, including photographs if requested. Should damage occur in transit, the receiving party will be responsible for notifying the carrier, and all packing material shall be saved for inspection.
Care and Preservation. The Borrower agrees to take reasonable precautions to protect the kiosk from fire, theft, damage, water, mishandling, dirt, and extreme changes of temperature. In the event that the kiosk is damaged in any way while in the Borrower’s custody, the Borrower agrees that it is solely responsible for such damage.
