Catastrophe Bank. When an employee’s sick leave bank has reached the current allowable maximum as set forth in this Agreement, there shall be established a “Catastrophe Bank” into which all days over the maximum shall be placed. When an employee has used all days accumulated in his/her sick bank for an illness/disability extending more than six months, he/she may draw from the Catastrophe Bank to the extent he/she has made contribution to said bank. (The District may require medical evidence of illness/disability.) If a teacher is unable to work as a result of a compensable injury, the teacher may utilize Catastrophe Bank sick leave days to maintain regular gross earning without affecting the teacher’s regular sick leave bank. Catastrophe Bank sick leave days shall not be paid out upon separation from the District.
