CD D. Whe n there is a vacant permanent position in a program, all on-call substitutes in the same job class shall receive five work days' written notice of the vacancy. Within five (5) days of receipt of this notice, on-call substitutes who provide written notice of interest in the vacancy shall be appointed in order of seniority. For all other positions, regular Community Bridges employees are guaranteed a first-level interview for vacant positions in any program for which they meet minimum qualifications. Should two (2) in-house applicants be the top candidates and equally qualified, and have positive references, the position will be offered to the worker with greater seniority. The purpose of internal recruitment is to encourage career development, retain experienced workers and provide consistent program delivery.
