Common use of Change in FTE Status Clause in Contracts

Change in FTE Status. Reduction in hours shall be defined as a permanent reduction of an employee’s FTE level. If a reduction in FTE is determined by the Employer to be necessary, the least senior employee(s) in the targeted job classification, department and shift will receive the FTE reduction. The Employer will first seek volunteers from the job classification and shift to accomplish these changes.

Change in FTE Status. Reduction in hours shall be defined as a permanent reduction of an individual employee’s FTE level, which is initiated by the Employer. Prior to an hours reduction occurring, the Employer will first seek volunteers in the job classification, cost center, and shift. If a reduction in FTE is determined to be necessary and there are no volunteers, then skill, competence, performance on the job, ability and experience are determined by the Employer to be necessarysubstantially equal, seniority as defined above shall be the least senior employee(s) determining factor in the targeted job classification, department and shift will receive the reducing an employee’s FTE reduction. The Employer will first seek volunteers from the job classification and shift to accomplish these changeslevel.
