Changes in Schedules. ‌ A. Changes in regular work schedules may be made by the County, provided that affected employees are given adequate notice of such changes. Except for emergency situations, notice of a permanent change in a regular work schedule shall be given at least fourteen (14) days in advance. Emergency schedule changes that are to last longer than five (5) consecutive work days require three (3) work days notice of a continuing temporary schedule change. B. Employees shall have the option to establish a flexible work schedule upon the approval of the employee's immediate supervisor. A flexible work schedule shall be based on a forty (40) hour workweek (or 80 hours bi-weekly, as may be permitted by law). Daily hours may vary and shall be permitted so long as the employee completes a full workweek or is scheduled to work a full workweek.
