Common use of Changing a Shift Clause in Contracts

Changing a Shift. A request for a change in the posted time schedule must be submitted to and approved by the Employer prior to the change. It is understood that such change initiated by the employee and approved by the Employer shall not result in overtime payment unless the Employer requires the employee to work additional overtime hours immediately following completion of that shift.
