Seniority and Service. (The following clauses will appear in all collective agreements replacing any provisions related to Probationary Period, Seniority Lists, Manner of Expressing Part-time Seniority, Full-Time definition of Seniority, Transfer of Seniority, Effect of Absence, Application of Seniority on Layoff and Recall, Layoff and Recall Rights for Part-time and Full-time Employees, Retention and Accumulation of Seniority on Transfer Outside the Bargaining Unit, and Loss of Seniority and Service, and Deemed Termination that existed in the Hospital's expiring collective agreement:)
Seniority and Service. 9.01 (a) Seniority and service will be based on last date of hire for full-time employees unless adjusted in accordance with the collective agreement and will accrue on the basis of hours paid for part-time employees.
Seniority and Service. During the year of the leave, seniority shall continue to accumulate. Service for the purposes of vacation and salary progression and other benefits will be retained but will not accumulate during the period of the leave.
Seniority and Service. 9.01 Seniority will be based on last date of hire into the bargaining unit for full-time employees and will accrue on the basis of hours paid in the bargaining unit for part- time employees. One year of full-time seniority shall be equivalent to sixteen hundred and ten (1610) paid hours of part-time seniority. Casual employees will accrue seniority on the same basis as part-time employees. Service will be based on last date of hire with the employer for full-time employees and will accrue on the basis of hours paid with the employer for part-time employees. One year of full-time service shall be equivalent to sixteen hundred and ten (1610) paid hours of part-time service. Casual employees will accrue service on the same basis as part-time employees. An employee’s full seniority and service shall be retained by the employee in the event that the employee is transferred from full-time to part-time or casual or in the event the employee is transferred from casual or part-time to full-time or vice- versa. An employee whose status is changed from full-time to part-time or casual shall receive credit for her full seniority on the basis of sixteen hundred and ten (1610) hours paid for each year of full-time seniority. An employee whose status is changed from part-time or casual to full-time shall receive credit for her full seniority on the basis of one (1) year of seniority for each sixteen hundred and ten (1610) hours paid. Any time worked in excess of an equivalent shall be pro-rated at the time of transfer. For all hires on or after January 1st, 2015, the seniority date so calculated shall not precede the date of hire.
Seniority and Service. (The following clauses will appear in all collective agreements replacing any provision related to Effect of Absence that existed in the Hospital’s collective agreement expiring 2019.)
Seniority and Service. An employee who is absent on an approved leave provided for in this Article in excess of one (1) month (except Pregnancy/Parental leave), shall not accrue seniority during the leave of absence and such time shall not be considered service time in the computation of benefits dependent upon length of service.
Seniority and Service. 15.01 Seniority shall be based on aggregate hours subject to the provisions of this Article. Seniority shall accrue from the first day worked with the respective Community Centre, upon successful completion of the probationary period.
Seniority and Service. 17.12 An Employee shall accumulate seniority and service for the period of participation in these Plans.
Seniority and Service. 20.01(a) Subject to clause 20.03, a seniority date shall be established upon successful completion of the probationary period as defined in Article 4 for each permanent employee who works full-time hours on a continuous basis and shall accrue from the date of hire. Seniority shall accrue on a calendar year basis to a maximum of twelve (12) months accumulation in any one calendar year.
Seniority and Service. 9.01 Seniority on such lists will be expressed in terms of a date for full-time employees and total paid hours for part-time and casual employees. The seniority list will be divided into full-time, part-time and casual categories and will include the length of service with the Employer from their last date of hire. For information purposes only, the names of all probationary employees shall be included in the seniority list.
