CITY COUNCIL REVIEW. The findings of fact and conclusions of law submitted by the Civil Service Commission shall be delivered to the employee (or his/her representative or legal counsel), the Department Head of the employee ’s department (or legal counsel), the City Council, the City Manager, the City Attorney and the Personnel Officer. The findings of fact and conclusions of law shall be final and binding unless within thirty (30) calendar days after receipt thereof a written request for review by the City Council is filed with the Personnel Officer or his/ her designated authorized representative. A written request for review by the City Council may be filed by the employee (or his/her representative or legal counsel), the Department Head of the employee ’s department (or legal counsel), any member of the City Council, the City Manager, or the Personnel Officer. The Personnel Officer will notify all parties that the request for review has been filed. The City Council shall conduct said review within six (6) weeks of receipt of the appeal.
