Classification by Professional Preparation. 24.1.1 A teacher shall be placed on the appropriate class of the salary schedule in accordance with the degrees and advanced preparation they have completed. 24.1.2 Effective 7/1/2020, a teacher may be given credit for up to fifteen (15) years teaching experience at the time of initial placement on the salary schedule, with a maximum initial step placement of step 16.
