Employee Orientations. CSEA shall have one orientation session with each new district employee in the bargaining unit. This orientation session shall take place within one month of the new employee’s first day of service and shall not exceed 15 minutes unless the session is with a group of new employees. If the session is with a group of new employees, the session shall not exceed 60 minutes. The date and time of the session shall be scheduled as mutually agreed to by the supervisors of all participants. Rev: 2/22/18
Employee Orientations. At employee orientations, the District shall provide the union with no less than thirty (30) minutes and up to sixty (60) minutes to make a presentation to all bargaining unit employees without undue interference. No employee shall suffer a loss in compensation or benefits as a result of participating in or attending the union’s presentation. When a bargaining unit employee is hired after the employee orientation or when the District does not conduct an orientation, the union may meet with the new employee in their work place, provided that the meeting does not interfere with the District’s operations.

The Association shall also be permitted to set up a table at the orientation to meet directly with employees before, after, and during breaks at the orientation. Employee Orientations. 5.11.1 The District shall hold a minimum of one (1) new employee orientation each contract year, and other orientations as necessary. The District shall consult the Association on the scheduling of the orientation meetings. All new employees shall attend the next orientation held after their date of hire. The District shall provide written notice of the date, time and location of all bargaining unit member orientation meetings by electronic mail, to the Association President no later than thirty days (30) days in advance of any orientation meeting(s).
Employee Orientations. 9.1 The College shall provide written notice to the Union at xxxxxxxxxx@xxxx000.xxx and to the Worksite Organizer (WSO) of New faculty Orientation Meetings in the Fall and Spring, if applicable, at least 10 days before the orientation is scheduled to occur, where practicable. Such notice shall include the name and email address of the new represented faculty invited.

At employee orientations, the County shall provide the Union with no less than thirty (30) minutes and up to one hundred twenty (120) minutes to make a presentation to all bargaining unit employees without undue interference. No employee shall suffer a loss in compensation or benefits as a result of participating in or attending the Union presentation.

The City shall provide written notice at least ten (10) days prior to an Employee Orientation where one or more employees hired into classifications represented by the bargaining unit will be present. The Union shall be afforded thirty (30) minutes to meet with all employees hired into positions represented by the bargaining unit in attendance. To the extent such employees for any reason do not, within sixty (60) days of beginning work, attend an Employee Orientation, the Union shall have the option to schedule a thirty (30)-minute meeting with the employee(s) provided that the Union and the Human Resources Director or designee mutually agree on the day and time of the meeting. One (1) Union representative may be released for up to one (1) hour without loss of pay to attend to present materials and information to the employees in positions represented by the bargaining unit.

At new employee orientations, the Employer shall provide the union with up to 60 minutes to make a presentation to all newly hired bargaining unit employees without undue interference. The union shall also be permitted to set up a table at the orientation to meet directly with newly hired employees before, after, and during breaks at the orientation. No newly hired employee shall suffer a loss in compensation or benefits as a result of participating in or attending the union’s presentation.
Employee Orientations. The following provisions shall apply to “new employee orientation,” which means that onboarding process of a newly hired public employee whether in person, online, or through other means or mediums, in which a newly hired employee is advised of employment status, rights, benefits, duties and responsibilities, or any other employment-related matters.
