Common use of College Credit Plus Clause in Contracts

College Credit Plus. 1. The opportunity to teach any course offered by the school district through College Credit Plus shall be offered to all members of the bargaining unit who are qualified to teach the course and no outside employees shall be solicited until all members of the bargaining unit have refused. 2. Teaching a course that qualifies for College Credit Plus shall be voluntary on the part of the teacher and no teaching employee shall be forced to meet the requirements to teach the course. 3. Any teacher who teaches a course that qualifies for College Credit Plus shall be afforded an in- service day to visit the participating institution of higher education to engage in planning with the cooperating college instructor and any other day as required by the college/university. The teacher shall be paid his/her per diem rate of pay for the in-service day, plus mileage at the IRS rate. The district shall pay the costs for employees to be trained as an adjunct instructor.
