Association Time. The OAPSE President and/or his/her designated representative shall be provided time during the school day with continuity of pay to conduct business with or concerning the Board or its designee, providing such absence can be covered by the building administrator in charge of such persons.
Association Time. An aggregate of five hundred and twenty (520) hours per fiscal year shall be available for use by Board members subject to the following conditions:
E.2.a. The hours shall be utilized to attend meetings or conventions held by labor or police-oriented organizations and/or seminars or classes on labor or police-related subjects. Local Association meetings shall be included as a part of the utilized hours.
E.2.b. Use of any part of the five hundred and twenty (520) hours will be cleared through the office of the Police Chief with manpower availability being the only additional criteria utilized. The association will be prepared at all times to account for the use of this time.
Association Time. The Association will be granted forty (40) hours with pay per year for Association business. The time may be taken in increments of no less than one (1) hour unless by agreement of the administration and will not be deducted from any other leave time. Bargaining unit members whose shifts begin after twelve noon may request the right to take time off for union meetings, so long as they arrange to make up the time lost on the same day.
Association Time. 3.4.1 Upon request to and review by the senior Human Resources administrator, the District may grant up to twenty (20) days’ release time per calendar year to the president of the Association or to the president's designee. The Association shall reimburse the District for the full cost of the substitute salary.
3.4.2 The District shall grant the Association up to a total of twenty (20) days per calendar year release time for conducting Association business. The request for such release time shall be in writing and submitted to the senior Human Resources administrator. The Association shall reimburse the District for one- half (½) the salary received during such release time if a substitute is used. A substitute shall be provided by the District as needed.
3.4.3 Association representatives, during working hours and without loss of time or pay, are allowed to represent employees and investigate and present grievances to the District when mutually agreed upon meetings are scheduled during the workday.
3.4.4 The District shall grant the chairperson and members of the negotiating committee the time necessary for mutually agreed upon negotiating meetings scheduled during normal working hours. Substitutes shall be provided by the District as needed.
Association Time. Pursuant to M.S. 179A.07, Subd. 6, reasonable time off shall be afforded to elected officials and appointed representatives of the Association. The Association shall repay the District at the applicable daily rate for each person for each day’s absence. Every effort shall be made by both parties to schedule negotiations sessions, grievance hearings, mediation, or arbitration at times other than those conflicting with the workday. In the event that it is agreed to by both parties or mandated by a third party that any of the aforementioned meetings be held during the regular working day, the Association shall reimburse the District in the amount paid to the principal’s substitute, if any.
Association Time. Pursuant to M.S. 179A.07, Subd. 6, reasonable time off shall be afforded to elected officials and appointed representatives of the Association. The Association shall repay the District at the applicable daily rate for each person for each day's absence.
Association Time. The Association shall be provided not less than forty-five (45) uninterrupted minutes of time to communicate with bargaining unit members during the first teacher workday. Such time will not be provided at the end of the workday unless the Association requests, in writing, to be placed at the end of the workday. All non-bargaining unit members shall excuse themselves during this time. Any Association representative requested by the Association to be present for this portion of the workday shall be released from other duties to participate without loss of pay or other benefit.
Association Time. A. The Association President will not be assigned any supervisory duties.
B. The President of the FEA shall be relieved of teaching duties for a total of (10) ten school days per year, which days shall be utilized for addressing local issues of concern between the Union and the Committee. It is understood that some of this time may be spent outside of the district, but the objective of the release time is to address local issues. The Union shall bear the full cost of any substitute teacher necessary on these days and the days shall be scheduled so as to minimize the impact on students. In addition, no more than (2) two such days shall be taken in any given month. Such days shall be dependent upon the President providing adequate notice so as to ensure that substitute coverage is available.
C. Either the Committee or the Association may propose leave for the President to attend to Association business and if so, the Parties will meet to negotiate over same and any agreements reached will be subject to ratification by the Parties.
Association Time. At the conclusion of building staff meetings and district wide staff meetings, Association representatives may make announcements pertaining to Association business. Upon the request of the Association president to the superintendent, the Association president or his/her designee may address the staff at the first district staff meeting of each school year.
Association Time. At the beginning of every school year, the Association shall be credited with 5 days to be used by teachers who are officers or agents of the Association, for the purpose of attending regional or state association meetings. The Association agrees to notify the Administration no less than forty-eight (48) hours in advance of taking such time. An additional four days are available with the Association reimbursing the school board the full cost of the substitute wages.
